Has Easter Changed Us?
from Sunday Homilies with the Redemptorists · host Novena Church
The resurrection doesn't stand by itself as an isolated event. If there's no incarnation, if there's no public ministry to express the will of God, if there's no passion, suffering and death, there's no need for the resurrection. The resurrection is the fulfilment of God's will to liberate us from the power of sin, evil and death. But has it changed us? Has it transformed us from our sinfulness? Or are we just staying on with our pride, our impatience, our lust, our greed? If we are, we not aligned with Jesus. It's time we recognize the presence of the Risen Jesus -- and experience him in our lives. He's calling us to recognize his presence in one another, even the ones we don't like, where he's calling us to forgive and love.- Sunday Homily by Fr. Peter Wee, C.Ss.R. (4 May 2025)
