Menachem Mendel of Horodok, the author of Pri HaAretz, שֶׁהָיָה בְּאוֹתוֹ מַעֲמָד who was present when the maamar was first delivered, רַק שֶׁרַבֵּנוּ בֵּאֵר הַדְּרוּשׁ עַל פִּי סִגְנוֹנוֹ although the Alter Rebbe explained the maamar according to his own style.
