Hayom Yom 19 Tishrei - Pray for wheat for Matza and the Esrog

אִיתָא שֶׁכָּל הַשָּׁנָה בְּאָמְרוֹ בִּשְׁמוֹנֶה עֶשְׂרֵה It is stated that throughout the year, when asking in Shemoneh Esreh וְאֵת כָּל מִינֵי תְבוּאָתָהּ לְטוֹבָה[that G‑d bless this year] “and all the varieties of its produce for good,”צָרִיךְ לְכַוֵּן לְחִטִּים לְמַצָּה וְאֶתְרֹגwe should have in mind the wheat to be used for matzah, and the esrog. בְּמָקוֹם אֶחָד נִזְכָּר מִלְּבַד הַנִּזְכָּר לְעִיל גַּם יַיִן לְקִדּוּשׁOne source adds the wine used for Kiddush. וְאָז בְּמֵילָא תִּהְיֶה כָּל הַתְּבוּאָה לְטוֹבָהThen, as a matter of course, “all of the varieties of its produce” will prosper.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in English
