אָבִינוּ הָרִאשׁוֹן אַבְרָהָםOur first father Avraham בִּגְלַל עֲבוֹדָתוֹ בִּמְסִירַת נֶפֶשׁbecause of his self-sacrificing laborsלְפַרְסֵם אֱלֹקוּתוֹ יִתְבָּרֵךְ — אֵל אֶחָד — לְכָל בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָםin making the oneness of G‑d known to all the inhabitants of the world, זָכָה לְהַנְחִיל לְזַרְעוֹ עַד סוֹף כָּל הַדּוֹרוֹתhe was found worthy of endowing his descendants as an eternal inheritanceאֶת הָאֱמוּנָה הַטְּהוֹרָה בַּה' וּבְתוֹרָתוֹa pure faith in G‑d and His Torah וְכָל אִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵלEvery Jewish man or woman יֵשׁ לָהֶם הַכֹּחַ וְהָעוֹזhas the strength and fortitude לִמְסוֹר נַפְשָׁם עַל הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁהto absolutely devote his or her life for the sake of our holy Torah.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in EnglishFor questions and follow-up: [email protected]
