מִשִּׂיחוֹת אַאַמוּ"רFrom a public talk of my revered father, [the Rebbe Rashab]: אִין דעֶם יְצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם פוּן חֲסִידוּתPart of the chassidic “exodus from Egypt” אִיז פאַראַן דִי מִצְוָה פוּן סִפּוּר יְצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם בְּדִבּוּרis the mitzvah to recount the story of the exodus from Egypt verbally. דעֶרצֵיילעֶן חֲסִידִישׁעֶ סִפּוּרִיםThis means telling chassidic stories, אוּן דעֶרהעֶרעֶן דעֶם סִפּוּר אִין אַ פְּנִימִית דִּפְנִימִיתand listening and internalizing them in one’s innermost self.מְ'בּעֶדאַרף וִויסעֶן אַז יעֶדעֶר סִפּוּר אִיז אַ הוֹרָאָה בַּחַיִּיםOne should realize that every story offers a directive for our lives. יעֶדעֶר סִפּוּר בּעֶדאַרף בְּרֵיינגעֶן אַ מִדָּה טוֹבָהEvery story ought to refine our character, אוּן אַ חַיּוּת פְּנִימִי אִין אַ הִדּוּר מִצְוָהproduce inner gusto in the loving performance of mitzvos, אוּן דעֶרהעֶרעֶן דעֶם דַּרְכֵי נוֹעַם פוּן תּוֹרַת הַחֲסִידוּתand sensitize us to perceive the pleasantness of the teachings of Chassidus.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in EnglishFor questions and follow-up: [email protected]
