Hayom Yom 28 Elul - G-d's blessing brings wealth

בִּרְכַּת ד' הִיא תַעֲשִׁיר, בִּכְלַל “It is G‑d’s blessing that brings wealth.” This applies universally, וּבִפְרַט לְהַנּוֹתֵן מֵעִתּוֹ וּמִזְּמַנּוֹ לַעֲסוֹק בְּצָרְכֵי צִבּוּר בְּעִנְיָנֵי צְדָקָה וְחִזּוּק הַיַּהֲדוּתbut particularly to a person who devotes his time to communal needs, such as matters of tzedakah and strengthening the practice of Yiddishkeit. וּכְמַאֲמַר: דעֶר אוֹיבּעֶרשׁטעֶר בָּרוּךְ הוּא בְּלַייבּט נִיט קֵיין בַּעַל חוֹבAs the familiar adage expresses it, “G‑d does not remain a debtor.” פאַר יעֶדעֶר גוּטעֶר זאַךְ וואָס אַ אִיד טוּטFor every good deed that a Jew does, צאָלט עֶר בְּמֵיטַב מִיט בָּנֵי חַיֵּי וּמְזוֹנֵי רְוִיחֵיG‑d repays him generously — with children, vitality, and abundant sustenance.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in English
