Hayom Yom 5 Adar 1 - Divine Providence leads us to our missionבְּלִי שׁוּם צֵל סָפֵק וּסְפֵק סְפֵיקָאBeyond the slightest shadow of a doubt,הִנֵּה בְּכָל מָקוֹם מִדְרַךְ כַּף רַגְלֵינוּwherever our feet tread,הַכֹּל הוּא לְזַכּוֹת וּלְטַהֵר אֶת הָאָרֶץ בְּאוֹתִיּוֹת הַתּוֹרָה וְהַתְּפִלָּהthe sole reason is that we refine and purify the earth by uttering words of the Torah and of prayer.וַאֲנַחְנוּ כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁלוּחֵי דְרַחֲמָנָא אָנוּWe — all of Israel — are agents of the Compassionate One,אִישׁ אִישׁ כַּאֲשֶׁר גָזְרָה עָלָיו הַשְׁגָּחָה הָעֶלְיוֹנָהeach of us according to the charge that supernal Providence has decreed upon him. אֵין חָפְשִׁי מֵעֲבוֹדַת הַקֹּדֶשׁ, אֲשֶׁר הוּעַמְסָה עַל שִׁכְמֵנוּNo one is free from the holy task that has been placed on our shoulders.Hayom Yom 5 Adar 2 - Nigleh, Chassidus, and Avoda are all a mustלִמּוּד הַנִּגְלָהThe study of nigleh, לִמּוּד הַחֲסִידוּתthe study of Chassidus, וַעֲבוֹדָה בְּפוֹעַלand Divine service through actual avodah, כּוּלָּם כְּאֶחָד מוּכְרָחִים הֵמָּהare all equally necessary. וְלֹא זוּ בִּלְבָד דְּאֵינוֹ שַׁיָּךְ לוֹמַר שֶׁהָאֶחָד יִדְחֶה אוֹ יוּדְחֶה מִפְּנֵי חֲבֵרוֹNot only is it unthinkable to claim that any one of these should override or be overridden by another,אֶלָּא אַדְרַבָּא הֵם מְסַיְּיעִים זֶה לָזֶהbut rather, they should support one another.וּכְמַאֲמָר וְלֹא עַם הָאָרֶץ חָסִידAs the Sages taught, “An unlearned person cannot be pious ('a chassid’),”שֶׁצָּרִיךְ לִהְיוֹת לִמּוּד הַנִגְלָהindicating that the study of nigleh is necessary.אֵיזֶהוּ חָסִיד הַמִתְחַסֵד עִם קוֹנוֹAnd “who is pious (‘a chassid’)?
