Hayom Yom 9 Adar 1 - Be equipped with Torah to walk the street

אַז מעֶן געֶהט אִין גאַס אוּן מעֶן טְראַכְט מִשְׁנָיוֹת תַּנְיָאWhen a person walks down the street and mentally reviews passages from Mishnayos or Tanya, אוּן מְ'זִיצְט אִין קְראָם (סְטאָר) מִיט אַ חוּמָשׁ, אַ תְּהִלִּיםor sits in his store with a Chumash or a Tehillim, אִיז אִיצְט אִיז דאָס טַייעֶרעֶרthis is more cherished [Above] than [in previous ages], וִוי אִין דעֶר צַייט, וועֶן אִין גאַס (סְטרִיט) אִיז געֶוועֶן לִיכְטִיג בְּאוֹר תּוֹרָהwhen the street shone with the light of Torah. מְ'טאָר נִיט געֶהן אִין גאַס אַלִבָּא רֵקָנְיָאOne must not go out in the street emptyhanded. מעֶן דאַרף האָבּעֶן תּוֹרָה, מִיט וואָס צוּ געֶהן אִין גאַסOne must be equipped with words of Torah with which one can walk in the street.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in English
