Hayom Yom 9 Shvat - Rebbe Rashab completes Mishnah and Shas

כְּשֶׁסִּיֵּים אַאַמוּ"ר הַשַּׁ"ס בַּפַּעַם הַשְּׁלִישִׁיתWhen my revered father, the Rebbe [Rashab], completed [the study of] the Talmud for the third time,אָמַר מַאֲמַר דִּבְרֵי אֱלוֹקִים חַיִיםhe delivered a maamar of Chassidus. וְתוֹכְנוֹ מַהוּ הַדְרָןIts theme was: What is a hadran?בִּשְׁנַת הָאֲבֵלוּת אַחֲרֵי אִמּוֹDuring the year of mourning for his mother,סִיֵּים אַאַמוּ"ר ש"ס מִשְׁנָה לְסוֹף י"א חֹדֶשׁmy revered father, the Rebbe [Rashab], completed [the study of] the entire Mishnah by the end of the eleventh month,וּלְיוֹם הַיאָהרצַייט — כָּל הש"סand [the study of] the entire Talmud by the day of her yahrzeit.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in English
