Headlines here II - Good news - David MacBride is released after 2 years jail for exposing Australian war crimes in Afghanistan- School Students go out against Pauline Hansen's politics of division.- Salvation Army accuse Melbourne City Mayor, Nick Reece, of failing to honour election promises of $6 million for their homeless services and $3.2 million for Melbourne City Mission. The Age reports Reece as saying: "We are in on-going dialogue with the Salvation Army to ensure that the service they provide is done in a way which doesn't present any additional risks to People who run businesses or live at or visit that end of the city."- Allied Health Workers strike for the third time on 11th Aug for pay, career progression, work loads and staff retention.- Public doctors, members of ASMOF, rescheduled a 3.5 hour stoppage to next week after the Vic Government successfully queried their paperwork.
