Healing longstanding negativity
from spiritual principles made practical's podcast · host Scott Friedman
As we progress we become increasingly aware of negativity that's been with us so long it's hard to recognize. Once it's exposed, we're in a position to heal it through acceptance, or any other way that works for you. There. is a part of me. that doesn't expect anything to work out despite the fact that almost everything works out for me. In response to that intense negativity I've adopted the practice that I will say to myself, "I'm going to assume what I'm working on will work until I see irrefutable evidence that it isn't." Another response to the negativity is "I owe it to myself to give myself a chance". Accepting that I have persistant thoughts that things are not going to work out for me, is a relief. It seems strange, but knowing the problem is a relief. I am fond of saying "I'm much better solving problems I know about than problems I don't know about". When I'm aware of the negative thoughts, that awareness makes room for more accurate positive thoughts. I offer thought coaching to become more aware of your thoughts and more effective at choosing the thoughts in your mind. If that's of interest to you, contact me for a free consultation to determine if we're a fit or not. Send an e mail to [email protected] to set it up. My books are available on Amazon.
