Send us Fan MailIn this episode of the Aging Mask, I will share with you the powerful, and often overlooked role of TASTE in healing the body, mind, and spirit. The sense of taste is more than just flavor-it's a tool for transformation and healing! When we think about healing we often focus on WHAT we are doing, workouts, supplements and mindset work. But one of the most ancient and intuitive ways to heal is through something we do every single day: TASTE. The sense of taste isn’t just about pleasure or flavor, it’s a direct line to our physical, emotional and even spiritual  health. Across every healing tradition and even modern nutrition, there is a deep understanding that each of the six tastes-sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent, carries a unique medicine. These tastes don’t just feed us ; they balance us. They affect our  digestion, our mood, our energy and the way we relate to food.As you now know sight is the strongest of all the 5 senses- “TASTE” is considered the weakest sense in the human body. And of all the senses Taste is the most misunderstood. We think of taste as pleasure, indulgence and maybe even weakness. But taste is actually a very powerful gateway to  healing.Taste is also the body’s “preview function”- it prepares the body for digestion. It also creates satisfaction. When all 6 tastes are present; sweet, salty, sour bitter, pungent and astringent- you feel balanced, full and emotionally grounded after eating. When meals are imbalanced- all salty and sweet, for example- cravings go wild, digestion gets sluggish and emotional eating often follows. So learning to understand taste and to eat with your senses fully online is one of the easiest ways to heal your relationship with food, your body and your emotions. Every meal becomes a medicine cabinet IF we learn to taste with intention. Each of these tastes has a unique job in our body ,and provides the flavors that make eating a pleasure. If you include these 6 tastes in a meal you will get the nutrients you need to feel completely satisfied, energized and healed. Healing through the sense of taste is powerful, ancient, and incredible intuitive. Taste is a direct line to your bodies inner world. When used intentionally, taste becomes a healing tool that balances your mood, supports digestion, nourishes tissues and satisfies emotional needs;Enjoy!Follow along on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/theagingmask
