Five years ago when I was considering going back to school to become a nurse in my mid-40s, I read a book called The Shift that gave me an amazingly accurate view into a day in the life of a nurse. It was my great honor to sit down with Theresa Brown, the author of that book. Her third book, Healing: When a Nurse Becomes a Patient came out in paperback last month.
