Healthy Culture

from Self Improvement

An integrated culture in which individuals can thrive and participate in supported, empathetic relationships, when they are part of groups, teams, or organizations. “Create the kind of workplace and company culture that will attract great talent if you hire brilliant people, they will make work feel more like play.” — Richard Branson “Just because you have a little it does not mean that you have a stick with that label. You might be a receptionist but you likely do a lot more than that. Instead of telling people that you are receptionist, say “I work as a receptionist but I also manage the hospitality team for our company and I specialize in customer relations.” Be proud of what you do and realize that a job title is just a job title. You are so much more than that.” — Robertson Reader “We used to have a strategy on a page for each of the functional areas — one for the overall business and one for each of the functional areas. And then a few years ago, we actually combined the sales and marketing world. We said let us have the same goals, targets and measures and that led to really good alignment and then we signed up to similar bonus objectives as well. We also have a lot of people that switch in between sales and marketing now as well. The more you can understand each other’s roles, the better you can work out what areas overlap and where we can get really good alignment from.” — Mark Powell “Branding is the core of the work I do with clients and it is something that I thoroughly understand. If you get the branding right then everything else will flow. Branding is much more than just a logo — it is about getting your message right and in order to do that you have to know what questions you need to be asking about your business. Over 20 years experience of working with clients plus experience of business mentioning enable me to lead you through this process and arrive at the best solution.” — 123design.co.uk “Public relations is a powerful tool and should not be underestimated.
