Heartwarming Rescue As Firefighters Free Dog Trapped In Elevator

Benetússer, Valencia – Firefighters from the Catarroja crew of the Consorci Provincial de Bombers de València rescued a dog that had become trapped in an elevator on August 10, 2026. The medium-sized white-and-grey dog, described as being of Border Collie type, was lying on the floor with its long tail caught in the elevator door threshold. Firefighters in orange and yellow high-visibility gear and helmets carefully worked to free the animal. Using tools, gloves and a headlamp, they pried the door open while the dog remained calm. Close-up footage shows the trapped tail and the dog looking up as firefighters worked to release it. After the rescue, the dog was freed and comforted by the crew. The animal was unharmed.
