Heavy Rainfall Triggers Evacuations in parts of Garden Route.

Disaster officials in the Garden Route region of the Western Cape says some communities in low lying areas have been evacuated as a precaution, in case of rivers bursting its banks. The region is experiencing heavy rain and wind. There have been incidents of flooding and power outages. The Western Cape Government has urged residents to prepare for severe weather conditions expected to hit parts of the province from Wednesday into Thursday.
