Welcome to Helping The Brave, a 30-minute podcast hosted by veterans Ed Parcaut and Amy Tiemeyer, where we provide a supportive space for veterans to share their experiences and offer practical advice and resources to navigate post-military life. n this episode, we're honored to feature Dean Van Dyke. Dean lost his close friend Ritchie to suicide. Early in 2020, my friend Scott succumb to the same painful end. And, as a Veteran of the Navy, I am acutely aware of the toll that suicide takes on my fellow servicemen and women. Currently, we lose an average of 22 Veterans to suicide each day. For whatever reason, my journey has been punctuated with an all-too-frequent connection with suicide.
