Welcome to my virtual living room, Wise Women! Today, my guest is Alison Coates; our conversation is based on the assertion that health is not the absence of disease. In 2018, after a varied career in local government, IT, and the voluntary sector, combined with raising two children as a single parent, Alison gave herself permission to let go of all that defined her. She sold the family home and began an experiment to discover who Alison might be when she stepped out into the unknown. Fueled by curiosity, she’s enjoyed many adventures and is now settled in a small village on the west coast of Scotland, exploring what is possible.Alison has been living with ME/CFS for the past few decades, which has taught her the benefits of taking life slowly and living in the moment.She loves nothing better than connecting with people through the gift of time and attention.
