Brecht van Hulten praat met beeldend kunstenaar Anouk Griffioen over haar tentoonstelling Nu het er nog is, tot 21 september te zien in Museum Kröller Müller. Nu het er nog is is de eerste museale solotentoonstelling van de Rotterdamse kunstenaar Anouk Griffioen (1979). Zij heeft een grote fascinatie voor natuur, herinnering en vergankelijkheid en maakt grote, vaak wandvullende tekeningen in houtskool. Je stapt als kijker soms letterlijk haar wereld in. Geboortefoto Startpunt van de tentoonstelling is een foto die de vader van Griffioen maakte in Enschede op de dag dat ze werd geboren. Aan de hand van de duizenden foto’s die haar vader maakte, bezoekt ze opnieuw alle plekken waar haar gezin ooit woonde en fotografeert deze. Vergankelijkheid Griffioen legt haar foto's naast die van toen en verwerkt de veranderingen in virtuoze houtskooltekeningen van monumentaal formaat. Deze omringen je of worden als drieluik gepresenteerd, als samengebalde herinneringen. Nu is het er nog, morgen kan het weg zijn.
