Annemieke Bosman gaat met Anton Dautzenberg in gesprek over de roman Engelland. In de tedere roman Engelland beschrijft A.H.J. Dautzenberg de laatste tocht van een diepbeschadigde man die in het aangezicht van de dood nog één opdracht heeft te vervullen. Dautzenberg neemt de lezer mee naar een mythische wereld waarin tijd niet bestaat, een wereld waarin heden en verleden samensmelten. Met Engelland voegt hij een nieuw hoogtepunt toe aan zijn avontuurlijke en kleurrijke oeuvre. Een allegorisch sprookje dat na lezing nog lang zal resoneren.
