Beitske de Jong in gesprek met Birgit Boelens, conservator bij het H'ART Museum in Amsterdam. Daar is nog tot 18 januari de tentoonstelling Brancusi, The Birth of Modern Sculpture te zien. Voor het eerst komt een toonaangevende collectie kunstwerken van Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) naar Amsterdam. De kunstenaar wordt wereldwijd beschouwd als de grondlegger van de moderne beeldhouwkunst. De tentoonstelling is gemaakt in samenwerking met het Parijse museum Centre Pompidou. Naast meer dan 30 meesterwerken, inclusief de originele sokkels die Brancusi zelf ontwierp, worden ook foto’s en films van zijn hand getoond. Centre Pompidou leent deze kwetsbare kunstwerken zelden uit.
