Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met acteur Daniël Kolf. Kolf speelt momenteel in de voorstelling De dood van Benny Simons van filmregisseur Shady El-Hamus en filmscenarist Ashgan El-Hamus bij muziektheatergezelschap Orkater. Net als in zijn films raakt filmregisseur Shady El-Hamus in deze meeslepende vertelling aan universele thema’s als de verwachtingen van ouders en hun kinderen, intergenerationeel trauma, de definitie van masculiniteit en het durven dromen van een beter leven. Een magisch realistische voorstelling over een jongen (gespeeld door Daniël Kolf) die dacht een man te moeten zijn. Daniël Kolf speelde in diverse films en series, waaronder De libi, Bad Influencer en Lieve Mama. Bij Orkater speelde Kolf eerder in de voorstelling De gliphoeve en het stuk Bloedbruiloft bij Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.
