Suzanne Bosman in gesprek met kunstenaar Diana Blok. In het Museum Cobra in Amstelveen is momenteel de expositie I Challenge You to Love Me te zien. De tentoonstelling biedt een overzicht van het werk van afgelopen vrijtig jaar. Blok richt zich op portretten van mensen voor wie gender, culturele identiteit en seksuele voorkeuren vloeiend zijn. Het werk benadrukt de kracht van kunst om verbindingen te leggen en verhalen te vertellen. Diana Blok (Montevideo, 1952) groeide op in verschillende Latijnse Amerikaanse landen en vestigde zich in de jaren zeventig in Amsterdam. Als auto-didact portretfotograaf maakt Blok indringende portretten en gaat ze samenwerkingen aan met andere kunstenaars, schrijvers en acteurs.
