Annemieke Bosman praat met schrijver en dichter Emma van Hooff over debuutroman De Waanzinpartituur. Am neemt je mee tijdens een groepssessie in de psychiatrie. Indringend vertelt ze over haar beklemmende moeder. Emma van Hooff sleurt je mee op het meedogenloze ritme van Am, een jonge vrouw die is opgesloten in een psychiatrische inrichting. Tijdens een groepssessie met de andere patiënten daalt ze af naar haar verleden. Am wil maar één ding: de lezer ervan overtuigen dat niet zij, maar haar moeder op haar stoel in de kring thuishoort. Met grote vaart neemt ze ons mee in haar monoloog over een moeder die haar dochter zo klein mogelijk wil houden, haar geen enkele vrijheid gunt. Maar is Am wel te vertrouwen als verteller?
