Annemieke Bosman gaat met Erwin Hurenkamp in gesprek over zijn roman Pogingen. Erwin is dichter, schrijver en redacteur bij literair tijdschrift Tirade. Hij debuteerde in 2023 met de dichtbundel Nu we er toch zijn, die werd genomineerd voor De Grote Poëzieprijs, de Herman de Coninckprijs en de Poëziedebuutprijs. Pogingen is zijn eerste roman. Het boek vertelt het verhaal van een moeder en haar zoon, die beide op hun eigen manier proberen te ontdekken wie ze zijn, waar ze vandaan komen en hoe zich als buitenbeentjes staande moeten houden in een verhardende wereld die steeds minder ruimte lijkt te bieden aan iedereen die niet helemaal normaal is.
