Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met Eva van Barneveld. “Genieten tot het gaatje” is het levensmotto van Hetty en Jeanne. Ook al zijn ze niet de jongsten meer, Hetty (76) en Jeanne (91) gaan eropuit, dansen op het strand, genieten van muziek, cultuur en vooral van elkaar. Het kleurrijke leven van deze vrouwen verandert als dementie meer grip krijgt op Jeanne. Hetty moet aanzien hoe de ziekte gaten slaat in de persoonlijkheid en het vermogen van haar “liefsteling”. Documentairemaker Eva van Barneveld volgde het stel vanaf het voorjaar 2019 tot en met het najaar 2021, tijdens deze ingrijpende, maar ook mooie jaren, waarin de liefde ondanks alles overeind blijft. In 2Doc: Liefsteling, maak je van dichtbij de uitdagingen mee waar Hetty als geliefde en als mantelzorger van Jeanne voor komt te staan. Eva van Barneveld brengt in Liefsteling een ode aan de liefde en laat zien dat er ook bij dementie nog manieren mogelijk zijn van liefdevol samenzijn en innige verbondenheid. 'Liefsteling' ging op zondag 10 april 2022 in wereldpremiere bij het filmfestival 'Movies that Matter' en was op maandagavond 11 april te zien op tv in 2DOC bij KRO-NCRV op NPO 2.
