Brecht van Hulten in gesprek met regisseur en filmmaker Gerardjan Rijnders. Hij maakte samen met kunstenaar Pieter Athmer een documentaire over een onverwachte en zomerse roadtrip naar Normandië, Frankrijk met een speciaal doel, getiteld Hockney: I love View. Toen Rijnders hoorde dat zijn goede vriend Pieter Athmer een schilderij cadeau wilden doen aan zijn idool, de wereldberoemde schilder David Hockney, zag Rijnders daar meteen een documentaire in. Samen met regisseur Paul Ruven legde Rijnders deze spontane reis van Amsterdam naar Normandië vast. Gerard Rijnders werkt in theater, film en televisie als regisseur, schrijver en acteur. Hij heeft meer dan 50 toneelstukken geschreven. In 986 richtte hij Toneelgroep Amsterdam op, waarvan hij tot 2001 artistiek directeur was.
