Annemieke Bosman praat met striptekenaar Gerrit de Jager. Zijn strip "De Familie Doorzon" bestaat 40 jaar en dat wordt gevierd met een expositie in het Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam Een opvallend archief binnen de stripcollectie van het Allard Pierson is dat van striptekenaar Gerrit de Jager (1954), die Nederland met De Familie Doorzon decennialang op de hak nam. Van 4 november tot en met 12 maart 2023 presenteert het Allard Pierson een selectie uit zijn werk. Als karikaturen van de doorsnee-Nederlander in een Vinexwijk geven de Doorzons al meer dan veertig jaar commentaar op de Nederlandse samenleving. Grof taalgebruik, seksisme, politieke incorrectheid, recht praten van alles wat krom is, de Doorzons lieten niets aan twijfel over. De tentoonstelling laat zien hoe De Jagers werk zich ontwikkelt en hoe de personages met hun tijd meegroeien.
