Annemieke Bosman praat met presentator Hadassah de Boer over De vrouw van mijn vader , haar debuut als schrijver Als Hadassah de Boer zes jaar oud is komt Trix, de nieuwe vrouw van haar vader Guus, zonder aankondiging haar leven binnenvallen. De invloed van de eigenzinnige Trix op het samengestelde gezin is groot en Hadassah wordt al snel verscheurd tussen de liefde voor haar vader en de afkeer van zijn vrouw. Bijna een leven lang probeert ze afstand te houden van Trix en haar verpletterende karakter, maar wanneer de dementie toeslaat – eerst bij Trix, daarna ook bij Guus – verschuiven de verhoudingen.
