Shula Tas in gesprek met journalist en schrijver Hilbrand Rozema. Onlangs verscheen het boek Tijd is een leeuwerik. Daarin neemt Hilbrand Rozema de lezer mee langs de randen én de rafelranden van Nederland. Hij observeert en registreert, en geeft een stem aan mensen buiten de Randstad. Hij diept kleine geschiedenissen op, beschrijft wat mensen vinden van de natuur om zich heen, hoe ze geloven, en vertelt over de tradities en gebruiken in het gebied. En dan gaat het niet over de meest welvarende plekken. Plaatsen die onder de blauwe plekken zitten, hebben ons veel te vertellen. Hoe is het bijvoorbeeld in Weiteveen (dubbele moord) en Harskamp (demonstratie tegen asielzoekers), in de Zak van Zuid-Beveland (drugssmokkel) of op een quarantainestation in Heijplaat? Of hoe voelt het om rond te lopen op een onbewoond eiland in de Waddenzee? Tijd is een leeuwerik is een caleidoscopische reisgids en een ode aan ons rijk gevarieerde Nederland. Hilbrand Rozema is journalist en auteur. In 2024 is hij genomineerd voor De Tegel, de belangrijkste journalistieke prijs van Nederland.
