Annemieke Bosman praat met fotograaf Jan Rosseel over de serie '1985', nu te zien op NPO Plus en vanaf donderdag 11 mei wekelijks op NPO 3. De beruchte Belgische Bende van Nijvel pleegde dertig jaar geleden, begin jaren tachtig, een reeks uiterst gewelddadige misdaden. Vooral de overvallen op de Delhaize supermarkten zorgden voor grote onrust. De Bende van Nijvel maakte achtentwintig dodelijke slachtoffers. Eén daarvan was de vader van fotograaf Jan Rosseel. Tot op heden is niets bekend over de motieven van de bende. Er gaan geruchten dat de bende België wilde destabiliseren en beschermd werd door machtige mensen in de politiek en het justitiële apparaat, maar dat is nooit bewezen. De televisieserie "1985" brengt dit collectieve Belgische trauma opnieuw in beeld. Met Jan Rosseel gaan we, met deze serie als uitgangspunt, dieper op deze pijnlijke historie in.
