Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met Jan Verdijk, filmmaker. Vanaf deze week draait het speelfilmdebuut van Jan Verdijk in de bioscopen, getiteld KIND. In deze intense psychologische thriller volgen we de emotionele reis van Leon (Vincent van der Valk) en Jaimy (Noortje Herlaar). Na een miskraam en de diagnose van een vervroegde overgang, zoeken ze wanhopig hulp bij verloskundige Nicole (Tamar van den Dop). Tegen alle verwachtingen in wordt Jaimy opnieuw zwanger, maar hun vreugde verandert in angst door een gevaarlijke groeiafwijking bij het kindje. Opnieuw wenden ze zich tot Nicole, wier onorthodoxe adviezen hen steeds verder buiten hun comfortzone brengen. Jan Verdijk won in 2021 een Gouden Kalf voor zijn korte film Pantser. Ook zijn korte films Valt een man uit de lucht en WILD vielen nationaal en internationaal in de prijzen.
