Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met Jelle Brandt Corstius. Sinds de invasie van Rusland is Oekraïne volop in het nieuws, maar velen kennen het land en haar inwoners nauwelijks. In de tv-serie Van Moskou tot Maidan verkent journalist Jelle Brandt Corstius Oekraïne tijdens het derde jaar van de oorlog. Hij reist van steden langs het front tot gebieden meer dan duizend kilometer ervandaan. De strijd is overal voelbaar. Wie zijn de Oekraïners, wat is hun geschiedenis, en wat is hun cultuur waar ze nu zo hard voor vechten? Jelle Brandt Corstius (1978) is journalist, auteur en programmamaker. Hij woonde vijf jaar in Moskou, waar hij werkte als correspondent voor Trouw en De Standaard. Voor de VPRO presenteerde hij Zomergasten (2010 / 2011) en maakte hij verschillende reisseries waaronder Van Moskou tot Magadan (2009), Grensland (2015), Robo sapiens (2017) en - samen met Ruben Terlou - Langs de nieuwe zijderoute (2023). Ook schreef hij diverse boeken, waarvan Spullen brengen (2024) het meest recent is. De VPRO-serie Van Moskou tot Maidan is vanaf zondagavond 23 februari op NPO 2 en NPO Start.
