Annemieke Bosman praat met schrijver en journalist Jeroen Thijssen. Hij schreef een biografie over de Nederlandse tekenaar Peter Pontiac. Peter Pontiac is een van de meest bewonderde Nederlandse stripmakers en illustratoren. Ook in het buitenland wordt zijn werk enorm gewaardeerd om de dynamiek van de tekeningen en de kracht van zijn verhaallijnen. Hij was een van de eerste striptekenaars in Nederland die seks, rock en drugs in zijn tekeningen verwerkte. Pontiac publiceerde in stripbladen als Aloha en Hitweek, maar ook in Vrij Nederland, Muziekkrant Oor, Rolling Stone en de nrc. Peter Pontiac kickte af, werd vader, burgerman en gevierd illustrator. Hij publiceerde Kraut, de eerste Europese stripbiografie, over zijn dominante vader die zelfmoord pleegde. Het boek werd bekroond met de Professor Pi- en de Marten Toonderprijs. In 2011 werd hij geveld door hepatitis C, destijds niet met medicijnen te behandelen. Zijn laatste levensfase verwerkte hij in een boek over de dood, dat in 2015 postuum verscheen als Styx, of: De zesplankenkoorts
