Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met filmmaker Jos Stelling. Jost Stelling's nieuwste film De dans van Natasja gaat over de vreemde, in zichzelf gekeerde Daantje en de door het leven getekende ex-ballerina Natasja. Daantje is een wonderlijk, eenzaam ventje, dat nauwelijks spreekt of naar buitenwil. Zijn moeder troost hem door over een meisje te vertellen dat op hem wachten mooi kan dansen. Jaren later, nadat vader en moeder bij een ongeluk zijn omgekomen, is Daantje dakloos en ontmoet hij de oudere levenswijze ex-ballerina Natasja. Jos Stelling debuteerde in 1974 succesvol met de film Mariken van Nieumeghen. De film werd geselecteerd voor de officiële competitie van het Cannes film festival. Daarna volgde meerdere successen zoals de films De illusionist, De wisselwachter, De Vliegende Hollander, No Trains No Planes en Het meisje en de dood.
