Brecht van Hulten in gesprek met theatermaakster Kim Karssen. Kim Karssen staat op de Parade met haar nieuwe show: 'Don’t rain on my paREET'. In deze absurdistische show duiken we in Kims hoofd: een overdruk hoofd waarin alles alle kanten opvliegt en iedere seconde een existentiële vraag oppopt die beantwoord moet worden. Ze flirt met stand-up en heeft de godsonmogelijke wens eindelijk een sociaal wenselijke voorstelling te maken. Dit kan maar één ding betekenen: alles gaat gruwelijk uit de bocht vliegen. Kim Karssen  is theatermaker en actrice en behandelt in haar voorstellingen grootse thema’s op groteske en speelse wijze. Met liefde voor taal en verhalen zoekt ze op een fantasievolle manier naar balans tussen grap en traan. Ze speelde al in meerdere voorstellingen van De Warme Winkel, samen met theatermaker Florian Myjer. Dit seizoen speelt Karssen de solo ‘Schrödingers hond’, gemaakt bij Frascati Producties: een absurdistische voorstelling over de kracht van onze gedachten. Ze gaat daarmee op tournee langs 10 steden in Nederland.
