Annemieke Bosman praat met beeldhouwer en schrijver Lotta Blokker over haar debuutroman IJsvogel. Lieke en Vincent draaien al jaren om elkaar heen. Lieke durft geen toenadering te zoeken omdat Vincent getrouwd is. Vincent zit vast in een liefdeloos huwelijk en worstelt met zijn ontluikende liefde voor Lieke en zijn wens om een trouwe echtgenoot te zijn. Erik is een vader in diepe rouw. Hij wordt door een verhuizing gedwongen de kamer van zijn overleden zoon uit te ruimen en vindt in een van zijn leesboeken een foto van zijn favoriete schoolmeester. Het slingert hem terug in de tijd, waarbij hij telkens wordt geconfronteerd met zijn tekortkomingen als vader. Max begluurt vanachter zijn raam een vrouw en haar dochtertje die dagelijks een bezoek brengen aan het pleintje voor zijn deur. Hij filmt het tweetal. Minutieus vangt hij iedere handeling die ze uitvoeren, met een bijzondere verzameling videocassettes als resultaat.
