Annemieke Bosman praat met acteur Majd Mardo. Hij speelt deze zomer in "The Damned" van ITA, te zien in het Amsterdamse Bostheater. Les Damnés beleefde zijn wereldpremière in 2016 als openingsvoorstelling van het Festival d’Avignon in het decor van de Cour d’Honneur in het voormalige pausenkasteel. In deze theaterbewerking naar een filmscript van de Italiaanse cineast Luchino Visconti is te zien hoe een familie van rijke Duitse industriëlen fataal gecorrumpeerd raakt in haar samenwerking met de aan de macht gekomen nazipartij. Familiepatriarch baron Joachim verzet zich en wordt geliquideerd. De strijd om de opvolging leidt tot een escalatie van intriges en manipulaties, verraad en moord. Les Damnés werd met superlatieven onthaald en was na Avignon te zien in Parijs, Londen, Antwerpen en New York. En nu dus in regie van Ivo van Hove tot en met 23 juli in het Amsterdamse Bostheater.
