Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met Marc de Beyer, directeur van het Teylers Museum in Haarlem. 550 jaar na zijn geboorte brengt Teylers Museum een eerbetoon aan een van de beroemdste kunstenaars uit de geschiedenis. De mannen van Michelangelo is een tentoonstelling over de fascinatie van Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) voor het mannelijk lichaam. Dat is een internationale primeur: nooit eerder werd een tentoonstelling volledig gewijd aan dit onderwerp. Ruim twintig tekeningen van Michelangelo uit de collectie van Teylers Museum worden aangevuld met unieke bruiklenen van over de hele wereld, waaronder het marmeren beeld Apollo-David. Samen schijnen zij nieuw licht op de glorieuze hoofdrol die het mannenlichaam speelt in Michelangelo's kunst en leven.
