Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met theatermaker Mattias van de Vijver. Van de Vijver regisseert bij Orkater de voorstelling Orchestra Soledad. De voorstelling is een zacht pleidooi van theatermaker Mattias Van de Vijver om mensen te omarmen die geestelijk in nood zijn. Hoe reik je een helpende hand aan mensen die het gevoel hebben uit de samenleving te verdwijnen? Met in de hoofdrollen Reinout Scholten van Aschat en Lotte Driessen in een tekst van Ludwig Bindervoet, begeleid door een koor van vijf stagiaires van drie verschillende toneelscholen. Orchestra Soledad is een meerstemmige etude over eenzaamheid. Mattias Van de Vijver begon in 2013 als Nieuwkomer bij Orkater binnen het collectief Lars Doberman (o.a. Een Bebop Verhaal en De Familie Mansøn). Deze laatste voorstelling werd genomineerd voor de BNG Nieuwe Theatermakersprijs. Van de Vijver speelde daarnaast in succesvoorstellingen Hamlet, de familievøørstelling (Theater Rotterdam) en Het wonderlijke voorval met de hond in de nacht (Theateralliantie). Orchestra Soledad is zijn regiedebuut.
