Annemieke Bosman praat met Mensje van Keulen over Omgeslagen dagen, het volgende deel in haar dagboekenreeks. Omgeslagen dagen is het vervolg op de dagboeken Alle dagen laat, Neerslag van een huwelijk en Moeder en pen. We volgen Van Keulen in de jaren 1983-1987. Inmiddels gescheiden en een gevierd schrijfster werkt Van Keulen aan de verhalenbundel De ketting (1983), haar roman Engelbert (1987) en haar jeugdboek Tommie Station (1985), dat een groot succes wordt. Toch gaat het schrijven, met een zoontje dat naar de basisschool gaat en een nieuwe liefde, bepaald niet vanzelf, maar Van Keulen zet door. Met de haar zo kenmerkende scherpte en humor neemt ze de lezer wederom mee in het immer woelige schrijversleven in de jaren tachtig te Amsterdam.
