In het Rijksmuseum Twenthe is de komende maanden de tentoonstelling Het internationale landschap. Schilderen in de buitenlucht in de 19de eeuw te zien. De tentoonstelling neemt je mee naar een tijd waarin kunstenaars wereldwijd de natuur omarmden, hun eigen land doorkruisten en op zoek gingen naar het bijzondere en het spectaculaire om hen heen. Ruim 70 werken van over de hele wereld zijn in het Rijksmuseum te zien in een thematische opzet, waarbij winterlandschappen, zeegezichten en boslandschappen uit verschillende landen naast elkaar getoond worden. Ontdek zo hoe, ondanks de zoektocht naar nationale identiteit, de werken vaak opvallend veel gemeen hebben.
