Jan Mom praat met schrijver Oek de Jong over zijn boek 'Man zonder rijbewijs". In het boek memoreert Oek de Jong met humor en zelfspot hoe het komt dat hij nooit zijn rijbewijs heeft gehaald. De herinneringen van vroeger keren terug en hij schrikt van zijn ervaringen op de ring van Amsterdam. Op lichte toon bespreekt De Jong zijn herinneringen aan het vehikel en de ervaringen in binnen- en buitenland wat zich ontvouwt als een allegorie voor het leven zelf. Van een schrijver op de fiets tot het gebruiken van een lease auto in Amsterdam centrum; een hele reis waarbij je als lezer beseft dat dit boek helemaal niet over autorijden gaat. Oek de Jong is onlangs genomineerd door De Koninklijke academie voor Nederlandse taal met zijn eerder verschenen boek "Het glanzend zwart van mosselen".
