Annemieke Bosman in gesprek met regisseur Oeke Hoogendijk. Internationaal gelauwerd regisseur Oeke Hoogendijk reconstrueert het muzikale universum en het dramatische levensverhaal van de legendarische en controversiële componist Karlheinz Stockhausen. Licht toont de totstandkoming van zijn magnum opus; de meest radicale operacyclus uit de geschiedenis. Briljant, megalomaan, onuitvoerbaar, dit is slechts een greep uit de woorden die zijn gebruikt om de gigantische operacyclus Licht, geschreven door componist Karlheinz Stockhausen, te beschrijven. Hij deed 26 jaar over het schrijven van deze dagen durende larger-than-life opera. Zijn magnum opus is echter nooit uitgevoerd; het was productioneel te ingewikkeld, logistiek zo goed als onmogelijk en daarnaast simpelweg te duur. Tót De Nationale Opera, Holland Festival, het Koninklijk Conservatorium en de Stockhausen Foundation for Music in 2019 besloten om de uitdaging aan te gaan en een groot deel van de operacyclus (in regie van Pierre Audi) op de planken te brengen. Hoogendijk was er vanaf het eerste moment bij en heeft vastgelegd hoe vijfhonderd musici en dansers het uiterste mogelijk probeerden te maken en laat zien dat de belangen en ambities groot zijn. Licht van Oeke Hoogendijk is vanaf 3 februari 2022 online te zien bij Nederlandse filmtheaters via Picl. Indien de regels het toelaten is de film ook in een aantal filmtheaters door het land te zien.
