Annemieke Bosman praat met regisseur Oeke Hoogendijk over haar documentaire Made in Holland, die 3 september om 22:40 uur te zien was op NPO 2 en die daarna op NPO Start staat. Het echtpaar De Mol van Otterloo bezit de belangrijkste en grootste privéverzameling 17de-eeuwse Hollandse en Vlaamse meesters ter wereld. Ze verzamelden onder meer Van Ruisdael, Steen, Dou, Cuyp, Potter, Lievens, Hals en ja, ook een Rembrandt. Aan de muren van hun villa in Massachusetts hangt voor miljoenen aan topstukken. Maar wat doe je vervolgens met zo’n collectie? Samen met het bevriende echtpaar Weatherbie, die ook een bijzondere kunstverzameling hebben opgebouwd, besluiten ze dat hun collecties ook na hun dood bij elkaar moeten blijven. Het resultaat is een kunstgift die zijn weerga niet kent. Regisseur Oeke Hoogendijk (Het Nieuwe Rijksmuseum, Mijn Rembrandt) geeft een spannende kijk achter de schermen bij particuliere verzamelaars in de internationale kunstwereld. De documentaire Made in Holland onderzoekt de wereld van het mecenaat; kopen en verkopen, en uiteindelijk liefde en fascinatie voor de 17de-eeuwse Nederlandse schilderkunst.
