Andrea van Pol in gesprek met Renske Suijver, conservator van de tentoonstelling 'Golden Boy Gustav Klimt' in het Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Gustav Klimt is wereldberoemd vanwege zijn schilderijen met goud en decoratieve ornamenten, zijn universele symboliek en zijn afbeeldingen van sterke zelfbewuste vrouwen. Maar waar haalde hij zijn inspiratie vandaan? De tentoonstelling 'Golden Boy Gustav Klimt' biedt de bezoeker de unieke kans om het werk van Klimt te midden van zijn talrijke inspiratiebronnen te zien. Nooit eerder was er in ons land zo’n groots opgezet overzicht van het werk van Klimt. Iconische topstukken van over de hele wereld zoals Judith (1901), Emilie Flöge (1902) en Waterslangen II (1904) zullen te bewonderen zijn. Veel van deze werken worden wegens hun kwetsbaarheid amper uitgeleend. De tentoonstelling is een samenwerking met het Belvedere in Wenen.
