Decennialang overschaduwd door hun mannelijke collega's, krijgen vrouwelijke en genderdiverse kunstenaars eindelijk de erkenning die ze verdienen. De tentoonstelling Radicaal in Museum Arnhem onthult het revolutionaire werk van meer dan 60 kunstenaars uit 20 landen, die de grenzen van het modernisme verlegden. Baanbrekende vrouwen die het patriarchaat uitdaagden en een nieuwe visie op kunst en samenleving ontwikkelden. De kunstwerken in de tentoonstelling laten zien hoe kunstenaars in de eerste helft van de 20e eeuw verzet pleitten tegen sociale onrechtvaardigheid, traditionele genderrollen en politieke onderdrukking.
