Het nut van Edo Dompelmans is een muzikaal portret van een man die erachter komt dat hij in vrijwel elk opzicht van zijn leven volstrekt inwisselbaar is. En dat dat niet zonder gevolgen blijft. De voorstelling gaat over de vraag in hoeverre wij als mens vervangbaar zijn. En de angst voor het antwoord op die vraag. De voorstelling is gemaakt door Jasper Stoop en Simme Wouters. Zij delen een liefde voor taal, muziek en absurdistisch existentialisme. De muziek in het stuk is geïnspireerd door liedperformers Jacques Brel, Stromae en Nina Simone. De voorstelling is tot en met 19 januari 2024 te zien in verschillende Nederlandse theaters.
