Annemieke Bosman spreekt fotograaf Vincent Mentzel over zijn boek ‘vincent mentzel foto’s‘ en over zijn tentoonstellingen in het Museum Hilversum en het Rijksmuseum. Bijna veertig jaar was Vincent Mentzel de vaste fotograaf van NRC Handelsblad: met zijn beeldreportages bracht hij het nieuws letterlijk in beeld. Mentzel ontwikkelde zich tot een van Nederlands bekendste fotografen, vooral door zijn vernieuwende verslaggeving van de Haagse politiek. Met zijn sprekende portretten van politici en informele fotoreportages van het Binnenhof maakte hij de Nederlandse politiek voor veel lezers persoonlijker en menselijker. In samenwerking met het Rijksmuseum en het Nederlands Fotomuseum, is onlangs de publicatie ‘vincent mentzel foto’s’ verschenen. Met teksten van Arnon Grunberg, Mattie Boom, Birgit Donker en Nicole Robbers. De publicatie is gerealiseerd met steun van het het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds en het Frederik Mullerfonds.
