Wies Bloemen maakt al jaren dansvoorstellingen voor jongeren en kinderen en is al 33 jaar de drijvende kracht achter danstheater AYA. Bloemen maakt danstheater vanuit een liefde voor het directe, het aardse, het heftige. Gedurende haar carrière heeft ze een eigen taal ontwikkeld, over alle disciplines heen en los van de publieke opinie. En met haar laatste voorstelling getiteld Hoop neemt ze nu afscheid van AYA en de danswereld.
